I have allowed Laila to go out in public dressed in whatever she wanted to wear.
Yes, I’m guilty. Usually her outfit of choice is a dress with wings. She has to top that off with her gold ballet flats, and sometimes tights. We went to shop for groceries and home goods. Yes we did have a few strange looks, but I was too worn out to fight with her.
We just had to run out for thirty minutes. I think it’s acceptable only once. No, I would not let her wear that to school, church or a special occasion (besides Halloween).

I think that's great! Who cares what other people think, she felt pretty and princessy and wonderful and she should be allowed to wear whatever makes her happy.
To a point of course, once she starts asking for the hoochie clothes, you've got to put your foot down. :)
Kudos to you!! You have to choose your battles!! Who cares who is looking at her or you.... She was happy and that's all what it matters!!
Anelys: Yes, I have just decided fighting with a 3 year old is not something I am going to do too often.
Kelly: Yes, no hoochie clothes, definitely not.
